How do I get started? Follow the steps below to create your account today as an onboarding bonus you will receive 10 OTTO to help you get started on your journey!
Create an account: Head to the website and choose Create an account https://onboarding.ottoblockchain.com/, during this step, you will be asked to create a username and password and verify your email address.
Link an authenticator: After you verify your email you will be asked to secure your account by scanning a QR code with a 2fa authenticator app of your choice, please be sure to save your recovery code in a safe place.
KYC Verification: As noted above to ensure trust and regulatory compliance you will need to submit ID verification, this step will require you to upload a government-issued ID and complete a facial scan.
Address Verification: After completing ID and face verification you will need to Verify your address which adds more regulatory compliance and an extra layer of security to the identity verification process.
Create and Bind an Ottó Wallet: Ottó operates on the substrate framework and to interact with your on-chain funds you will need a Polk.js wallet extension to sign any transactions you initiate from your Ottó account, to complete this step please download the Polk.js Browser Extension and create a wallet and ensure you write down and store your seed phase in a secure location in the event you lose access and need to recover your account in the future. After completing your wallet creation, return to the Ottó website and complete the Binding process.
Create and Bind a Metamask Wallet: To further enhance the multi-chain asset framework you will need to Bind an ERC Address to your account, this will allow you to move any ERC Assets to/from Ottó after we enable our asset onboarding functionality. If you don’t already have a MetaMask Wallet you can create one here and complete the binding process on the Ottó Website. Just like the Polk wallet ensure you store your seed phrase/private key in a safe place in the event you need to recover this account in the future.

If you’re ready to advance your experience with Ottó, you now have the opportunity to benefit from Plug Utility. Ottó Blockchain is built on the PL^Gnet toolkit, and as such there have been various utilities for PLUG tokens within Ottó Blockchain one of which is allowing those who have Ottó Accounts to bring their PLUG tokens from Ethereum Blockchain to Ottó Blockchain and exchange PLUG tokens for “Catalyst” CATA tokens — the store of value and staking token in Ottó’s dual token economy.
To Participate you will need to complete the following:
Acquire PLUG tokens: PLUG tokens are available on the MEXC exchange or Decentralized Exchanges such as Uniswap. After obtaining these tokens ensure they are located in the Ethereum address that has been bound to your Ottó Account.
